ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN COMPUTATIONAL/THEORETICAL CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS AT TEMPLE UNIVERSITY

APPLY via Google Forms
APPLY via AcademicJobs

The Physics Department at Temple University anticipates a tenure-track appointment in the area of condensed matter theory, to begin July 1, 2023, subject to administrative approval. We are especially interested in computational materials science involving either quantum materials and materials discovery, but candidates in all subfields are welcome to apply. Candidates must hold a doctorate in an appropriate field. They should have demonstrated an ability to perform excellent research, and show promise for high-quality physics teaching. A secondary desideratum is to strengthen the link between theory and experiment within the department.

Applications in pdf format, including a curriculum vitae, a publication list, a research plan, and a statement of teaching philosophy should be submitted online at https://phys.cst.temple.edu/. Applicants should also arrange to have three letters of reference sent to this form link. Screening of applicants will begin December 15, 2022, and continue until the position is filled. Temple University is an equal opportunity, equal access, affirmative action employer committed to achieving a diverse community (AA, EOE, m/f/d/v).

Do not hesitate to contact the chair of the search committee, Professor Xifan Wu (xifan.wu@temple.edu) in case of any questions!
